Outside of this castle walls, there is 20 Turkish neighbourhoods and 4 Roman neighbourhoods. Bazaar is also outside of the castle walls. And the Marina has the capacity of 200 ships.” During the Independence War of Turks, Antalya was invaded by Italians. Even though Italians helped and supported Turkish farmers and citizens, they couldn’t stand much in Antalya. As Italians left the city, the newly established republic has began to rule the city.
